VII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2015 in Moscow

Every year, the State Corporation Rosatom holds the International Forum ATOMEXPO for the nuclear industry representatives from around the world. This year the forum will take place in Moscow on June 1-3. The central event will be a plenary session on the theme of "Nuclear Power as an Impulse for Socio-Economic Development." Representatives of various countries will discuss the benefits of nuclear energy, its influence on the socio-economic development of the country and the possible problems arising in the case of non-use.

The Forum's business program focuses on the international cooperation of Russia with the countries of Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe in the field of nuclear energy. These issues will be the subject of a special session on "Nuclear Energy in the BRICS countries."

Also scheduled are roundtables on the safe use of nuclear technology, operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants, long-term development of new products of the nuclear industry and other relevant issues.

The Forum is expected to be attended by the representatives of AREVA (France), Paks NPP (Hungary), NECSA (South Africa), NPCIL (India), Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. (Slovakia), as well as the representatives of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency.
