Ukrainian army registers drone flights over Mariupol

Ukrainian air defense has registered six unmanned aerial vehicles flying over Mariupol since Saturday evening, the press center of the armed operation in Eastern Ukraine reported on its Facebook pace Sunday morning.

According to the report, "The enemy violated the ceasefire mode six times between 8 p.m. on March 7 and 6 a.m. on March 8." 

The report said that additionally, the towns of Avdeyevka, Opytne and Kamianka as well as the positions of the military near Pisky and also the town of Maiorsk came under mortar and grenade fire.

Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic has reported continuing shelling on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Some 25 instances were recorded in 24 hours, nine of them during the night. Fire was mainly opened at the area of the airport, Spartak and Pisky neighborhoods, Oktyabrskaya coalmine and the southern part of Shyrokyne," the Donetsk news agency quoted a ministry spokesman as saying.

No one was killed or wounded in the fire.
